Silvia Pedraza

After 42 years of walking the Earth, our loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt has rejoined the Lord in his heavenly kingdom. On Saturday, November 6, 2021, Silvia Pedraza passed away at Harlingen Medical Center after spending the last three weeks in a coma surrounded and comforted by family and friends.

Silvia was born on December 31, 1978 in Guadalupe Zimapan Hidalgo, Mexico. Born to Amada Borgen.

She was the oldest of three children.

Silvia is survived by her son Alex Alvarado. He was raised by her with so much love and devotion along with the wonderful support of her family. Also surviving are her mother Amada Borgen, two siblings, James Borgen and Manuel Torres, her nephew Ryan and nieces Zeeva and Elissa, along with her aunt, uncles and many cousins who love her.

Silvia was a long time resident of Harlingen where she has lived all her childhood. She graduated from Harlingen High School in 1997 and Texas State Technical Collage in 2001 with her Business/Office Technology degree. In 2001, Silvia Joined the workforce as an Operations Clerk for Overnite now called T-Force Freight. She faithfully worked there for twenty years and was considered a large part of what kept things running smoothly.

Loving, compassionate and considerate is how we can best describe our Silvia. Silvia enjoyed time with her friends , trying new and diverse foods , re-watching her favorite series and Chinese drama, but above all else spending time with family.

Her quirky and fun personality never failed to make everyone laugh.

We will miss the mother/daughter trips to Mexico, the mother/son movie nights, the brother/sister horror movies and dining adventures and the many memories in between that makes us family.

A visitation for Silvia will be held Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A rosary will occur Friday, November 12, 2021 at 7:00 PM, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A chapel service will occur Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A burial will occur Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Gardens., 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
