

Yanira Campos love of life did not come to an end with her death. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children and family. Yanira passed away at home on June 7, 2022, at the age of 47. Her long courageous battle with cancer showed her strength in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Yanira came out a hero and stayed strong until the end. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
She was born to Jose and Ana Campos on March 7, 1975, in El Salvador. After graduating from Rio Hondo High School, Yanira followed her dream to be a nurse and attended VMBC school of Vocational Nursing. It is there where she met her loving husband, Ruben Tovar. She then graduated from the University of Texas at Brownsville, with her ADN. Together, they have 2 children: Hadie and Daniel. She is survived by her husband, children, parents and sisters, Roxanna and Sandra and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Yanira was a facility administrator for U.S. Renal Care Dialysis in Elsa. She had an incredible work ethic and worked up until May 2022. Her dedication to her work was noted by many of her family, friends, and coworkers. Even though, she was a hard worker she made time to enjoy life. It was the simplest pleasures the brought Yanira great joy. She loved spending time with her children and family. It never mattered what she did as long as she was with family.
A visitation for Yanira will be held Friday, June 17, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Santa Rosa, Texas. A burial will occur Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Heavenly Grace Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559.
