Condolences to each of the four sons and their respective family members.  

 My apologizes for my delayed words but this process is new to me as having only recently gained knowledge of the availability. 

Barbara & I only knew each other for a very few years following the passing of John.   During this period we traveled over lots of Texas, Oklahoma & New Mexico as tourist having a desire to see & do as many places possible.    Barbara also showed me some of her favorite spots in Kentucky.    Trips were also made to D C and on out to The Black Hills & Mount Rushmore .   We even made it to Sturgis, SD then back thru Colorado visiting places where I had worked & lived.   We saw a lot in a short amount of time during the five years we had known each other.

Barbara was a very good person and we tried to enhance each others knowledge during our time as friends.  I miss Barbara very much and always will recall our times in travel and hours of conversation about anything we might think worthy of thought & discussion.

May there all ways be good thought about such a wonderful person whom I was able to call my friend.

My condolences to the family of Barbara Fendley.  She had major positive impact on my eldest daughter as a student at Manual, instilling in my daughter a life-long appreciate for science.  If she made a similar impact on even a few of her other students, the world is indeed a better place because of her teaching.  We are grateful to have had her in our lives and to have interacted with her for a brief time.

So sorry for your loss.  Your mom was one of the best teachers to ever walk the halls of duPont Manual HS.  It was a pleasure working with her as we developed the magnet programs from the ground up.  She was highly intellectual and completely organized as we developed courses and curriculum.  She was never late turning in reports to us in the office.  I have nothing but warm positive memories of our time working together.

Thinking of you and your family.  Mrs. Fendley was one of my favorite and most memorable teachers.  I am thankful that I had her for 2 years while I was at Manual.

This makes me sad, She was one of the first teachers who truly made me believe that I could be more..... I wish I had taken the time to tell her this, she was special.
