Butch was a proud and passionate fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He loved spending time outdoors—whether it was mowing the lawn, fishing, or simply enjoying nature.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sons, William Lindsey Acree and Jeffrey Deshane Acree, as well as his brother, Robert “Bubby” Acree.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathy Jo Acree; his son, Charles “Tony” Anthony Acree; his siblings, Margaret “Cricket” Callis and Doug Acree; and his grandchildren, Matthias Acree and Kit Acree. He also leaves behind extended family and many dear friends who will remember him fondly.
A funeral service to celebrate Butch’s life will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Beulah Land Baptist Church, located at 3509 KY-146, La Grange, KY 40031, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
