He was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church in Lexington, KY. During his adult life, Dan was a high school teacher, counselor and baseball and football coach in Shepherdsville, KY and Middletown, OH. He was also a successful Life Insurance salesman for several different Life Insurance Companies. In the latter part of his life he spent time as a life coach and mentor to men recently released from prison to help them chart a new course for success as they re-entered society.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda; brother; Buddy Moore and sister; Ann Sanderson.
Survivors include his children, Scott Moore (Marti) and Karen Hall (Alan); brothers, Ben Moore (Sharon) and Joe Moore (Betty); sister, Nancy Fuller (David); grandchildren, Matthew Moore (Emily), Katie Barnes (Justin), Max Hall and Alexander Hall; great grandsons, Harry Moore and Charlie Moore.
Memorial gifts can be sent on his behalf to American Cancer Society, Gardenside Baptist Church (1667 Alexandria Dr., Lexington, KY 40504), or the donor’s preferred charity.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
