Mrs. Frances S. Johnson

She was born and raised in Murfreesboro, TN and was a longtime resident of Louisville, KY.

She was a homemaker, a former clerk with the old Southern Bell Telephone Company, a member of First Presbyterian Church of Murfreesboro and a Kentucky Colonel.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William John Johnson; her parents, William Howse Sikes and Frances Bruckner Hord Sikes; and siblings McCulloch Sikes, Benjamin Sikes, Louise Wharton, Sarah Sikes, William Sikes and Anne Read.

She is survived by her daughters, Anne Langford of LaGrange, KY and her children, Alexis and Austin; Betsy (Kenny) Schmidt of Ballardsville, KY and their children Paul (Erin) Schmidt of Campbellsburg, KY, Emily (Todd) Dodd of Shelbyville, KY and Shannon (Dan) Melton of LaGrange, KY. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren Destiny Dodd, Joshua Schmidt, Tyler Dodd, Sarah Dodd, Gunnar Schmidt, Nicholas Melton and Aubrey Schmidt.

Her funeral will be 11 A.M. Wednesday at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaGrange with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville. Pastor Al Earley will officiate. Visitation is 4-7 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers are Paul Schmidt, Todd Dodd, Dan Melton, Clay Hudnall and William Sikes.

Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Red Cross or Alzheimers Association.
