

She was born on January 25, 1943, in Bedford, Kentucky to the late Charles and Susie Crockett Taylor.
Hattie was a lifetime member of Covenant Church. She loved playing BINGO and cards, cutting up, and being the life of the party! Above all, Hattie loved her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward "Eddie" Ford; son, Charles "Otis" Taylor; grandson, Tyrone Spencer Taylor; great-grandsons, Treyvon Taylor and Corey Lee Steadmon; son-in-law, Kent Allen; and siblings, Tom Taylor, Rufus Taylor, William Taylor, Jessie Taylor, Julia B Arnold, Martha Taylor, Ada Mae Taylor, Jean Rose Allen, Minnie Allen, and Ruby Taylor Wilson.
Left to cherish the memory of Hattie are her children, George Taylor Sr, Jerome Taylor, Perry Taylor, Leon Taylor, Kay Taylor, Carla Allen, Serita Taylor, and Marie Booker; grandchildren, Regina Carr, George Taylor Jr, Jamaal Taylor, Demetress Harris, Erica Thomas, Tyrone Taylor, Raven Booker, Oechsli Allen, Whitney Johnson, Jasmine Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Nathaniel Burgett, Ainsley Stark, and Spencer Stark; sister, Betty Elzy; sisters-in-law, Anna Durham and Doris Jean Shelby; a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
A celebration of Hattie's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY at 2pm with burial to follow in Valley of Rest Cemetery. A time of gathering will be from Noon until the start of the service. The Repass will be held at the funeral home following the service at Valley of Rest Cemetery.
