Jane C. Denton

She was born in Lexington KY on February 28, 1927 to Lucille Hutchinson Callahan and Thompson Peake Callahan. She graduated from La Grange High School in 1945. She retired as Executive Secretary from Capital Holding Company and was a lifelong member of the LaGrange Christian Church serving as an officer of the Christian Women’s Fellowship, deacon, secretary of the board and served in multiple roles as she was called. She was active in her community as a charter member of Cross Roads Home Makers, hospital volunteer and served as a volunteer at the Oldham County Museum.

She is predeceased by her parents, her brother George W Callahan and Dee Denton, her husband of 34 years.

She is survived by her children, Bob and Betty Denton, Carolyn and Bill Hora, Frank and Betty Denton, Michael and Joyce Leet, Lisa Mahoney, Sharon and Bill Taylor. There are 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to honor the life of Jane will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home at 11am Saturday, October 18th with burial to follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
