Maria Dolores Ramirez

Cuando era niña su familia se mudó a Ecuador. En aquella época y en su entorno, las niñas no recibían educación formal. Sin embargo, ella tenía espíritu emprendedor, así que se auto educó y aprendió a leer y escribir. Ya adulta continuó sus estudios y obtuvo su diploma completando la educación básica.

En su juventud trabajó duro y era muy independiente y de voluntad firme y sintió el deseo de compartir su vida. Oraba por un hombre que fuese fiel y sin vicios. Sus oraciones fueron escuchadas y encontró el hombre que buscaba en Luis Enrique Montalvo (†. Febrero 2006) y contrajeron matrimonio. Juntos engendraron seis hijos: Luis, Carmen, Ruth, Elías, Lucía y Daniel.

Vino a la fe en Jesucristo en 1961 y continuó el crecimiento en su vida espiritual. Más tarde, sirvió fielmente con su esposo, quien se convirtió en pastor, y juntos iniciaron una iglesia en Santo Domingo de los Colorados. Se enfocó en trabajar con las mujeres de su iglesia y se envolvió a profundidad en la Unión Femenil Misionera. La familia se movió a Quito en 1969 donde continuó sirviendo en la iglesia.

Luego del fallecimiento de su esposo en 2006, fue a vivir con su hija Ruth en Crestwood, KY. Allí continuó involucrándose en la iglesia tanto como pudo, siempre compartiendo pasajes

de la Escritura con las personas y dando palabras de sabiduría y ánimo. Su gran anhelo era que la gente encontrara paz y plenitud en Dios a través de Jesucristo.

Se sentía muy orgullosa de haber vivido en tres diferentes países y de haber sido ciudadana en cada uno de ellos.

Llegó a la presencia del Señor para recibir su ciudadanía final en el cielo en 15 de diciembre 2023 a la edad de 95 años. Será profundamente extrañada y su recuerdo apreciado por sus seis hijos, quince nietos, cuatro bisnietos y todos aquellos que tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerla.

Maria Dolores Ramirez de Montalvo was born in San Luis Potosí, Colombia April 2,1928.

When she was a young girl her family moved to Ecuador. In those days, and in her environment, girls were not typically educated. However, she had an entrepreneurial spirit and taught herself how to read and write. As an adult, she continued her studies and achieved her diploma completing her basic education.

As a young woman, she worked hard and was very independent, but she also had a desire to share her life. Her prayer was for a man who was faithful and did not have any vices. She found such a man, Luis Enrique Montalvo (D. Feb 2006), and married him. Together they had six children: Luis, Carmen, Ruth, Elias, Lucia, and Daniel.

She came to faith in Jesus Christ in 1961 and continued growing in her spiritual life. Later she served faithfully with her husband, who became a pastor and they started a church in Santo Domingo de los Colorados. There she focused on working with the women and was greatly involved with the Women's Missionary Union. The family moved back to Quito in 1969 and continued serving in the church.

After her husband's passing in 2006, she came to live with her daughter, Ruth, in Crestwood, KY. She continued to be involved in church as much as she could and was always sharing scripture passages with people, and giving words of wisdom and encouragement. Her greatest desire was for people to find peace and fulfillment through a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

She was very proud to have lived in three different countries and had citizenship in each one. She passed to be with the Lord and got her final citizenship in heaven on December 15, 2023, at 95 years young. She will be greatly missed and her memory will be cherished by her six children, fifteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and all who got to meet her and know her.
