Patricia Ruth Barnett

Patty was born on August 24, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Clarence and Priscilla Warren Kelley.

Patty had a deep joy for music and dancing—though the love of her life has two left feet. She found great happiness in cooking and was known for opening her home to family and friends, always serving as a generous and welcoming hostess. More than anything, Patty cherished her role as “MeMa.” Her four grandchildren were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in every moment spent with them.

In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Jennings, and her niece, Christina Jennings-Hartson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love to be carried on by her devoted husband, Glenn Barnett; her children, Connor Barnett and Ryan Barnett (Kayla); her beloved grandchildren, Theodore, Essie, Ruby, and Emmett Barnett; her siblings, Lisa Brown and Mike Kelley; her nieces and nephews, Melissa Brown, Christopher Jennings, Josh Jennings, Thomas Kelley, and Sean Barnett; extended family and many dear friends who will miss her greatly.

A Memorial Gathering for Patty will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 4pm-6pm at Southeast Christian Church, Crestwood Campus.
