Roxana Imogene Schupp

She was born to the late Imogene and Paul Moore in Columbus, Ohio on January 23, 1945.

Roxana loved music and received a degree in Music Education from Ohio State University in 1968. She taught for several years in Ohio before she and her husband moved to Kentucky in 1971. Upon arrival they soon started their family. She decided to be a stay at home mother to their three sons, but she did continue giving private music lessons. In 1986 she joined the recently formed Oldham County Community Band and became the band’s librarian, a position she held for over 30 years. She contracted Parkinson’s disease about 10 years ago and much to her dismay had to give up her duties about 5 years ago.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years, Philipp P. Schupp; her children, Karl Schupp, Philipp J. Schupp (Michelle) and Jonathan Schupp (Jacqueline); seven grandchildren, Tayler, Christopher (Lexi), Natalie, Camilla, Kaitlyn, Kayla and Leea; two great-grandchildren, Killean and Islabelle; three brothers, James Moore, Steven Moore (Pam) and David Moore (Denise); and many family friends.

She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, 1127 E. Broadway, Louisville, KY 40204. A celebration of Life for Roxana will be held at the church on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 12:00 noon.
