She was born on March 24, 1960 to Maniff Everette and Doris Yvonne (Thomas) Robertson in Princeton, Kentucky.
Sandra graduated from Carroll County High School in the class of 1978 where she participated in track and cheerleading and was the Homecoming Queen. As a teenager she enjoyed jumping off silver cliffs at Lake Barkley with her cousins and friends. Sandra was a proud graduate of the University of Louisville. She enjoyed concerts; the Stones and Rod Stewart were her favorite artists. Sandra loved white water rafting in West Virginia and hiking the Morgan Conservation Park in LaGrange. She was a very outspoken feminist and was interested in alien and bigfoot theories.
Left to cherish the memory of Sandra are her daughter; Amanda (Steven Kirby), 3 granddaughters; Makayla Hensley, Elizabeth Kirby and Rachel Kirby, parents; Pipper and Yvonne Robertson, 3 siblings; Curt Robertson (Phyllis), Steve Robertson (Brooke) and Susan Sanford (Brian), 4 nephews; Austin, Hunter, Will and Jacob, her cats; Raymond and Clyde, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 3pm with memorial gathering starting from 1pm until the time of the service.
Memorial donation can be made to the Humane Society of Oldham County or Planned Parenthood in Sandra's name.
