William George Lund

Lund, William George, peacefully passed away at his son's home on February 16, 2017. He was born in St. Charles, Illinois on August 12, 1929 to the late Joseph and Mary Lottie Lund. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Rose Marie Krebs Lund, two sisters, Adel Hansen and Louise Hill, a brother, Roy Lund, who was MIA in WWII. William was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a former member of the Prime Time Club at Immaculate Conception Church, and a member of the Travel Club Board at The Oldham County Bank. He was an avid golfer and spent many years coaching Black Mudd Little League. He was a former employee at General Electric and spent many years as a self-employed contractor.

William is survived by his soul mate, Rosie Henley of 18 years, his children, William Lund (Karen), Scott Lund (Bonnie), Jodi Wells (Joe) and Jim Lund (Mary); 15 grandchildren, Gina Hilton (Roger), Laura Begin (Wayne), Kevin Lund (Stephanie), Steven Lund (Lindsey), Jennifer Hollis (Chris), Christine Lund, Janie Groetsch (Ben), Julie Wells, Gerard Wells (Tammy), Gemma Wells, Germaine Wells, Jillian Wells, Joseph Lund (Christie), Matthew Lund and Leslie Lund; 3 step-grandchildren, Chris Arnold, Cassidy Arnold and Ethan Begin; 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother; Kenny Lund.

Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2017 from 2:00 to 8:00 at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home located at 311 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY. The Funeral Service on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 1:00 with Burial following at Calvary Cemetery located at 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY.
