Adam Slinkard was born March 22, 1991 in Austin, Texas and died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He graduated from St. Michael's Academy in 2009 and attended Hendrix College in Arkansas before transferring to TCU in 2010.
Adam was a cherished son and brother, as well as a loyal friend. He was a sweet soul who never met a stranger, and who had a gift for making others feel included. A talented musician and athlete with a quick wit and unique sense of humor, Adam could light up a room with a smile that reflected his unbounded enthusiasm for life.
Adam is survived by his parents, Laura and Phil Slinkard, and by his siblings, Haley and Will Slinkard, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Austin Ridge Bible Church, 9300 Bee Cave Road, Bldg. A, Austin, Texas 78733.
In lieu of flowers, Adam's family asks that memorial gifts be made in his honor to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center (please specify "melanoma research" in the memo line of the check) and mailed to:
