

Allan was a graduate of the University of Texas, spent 28 years in the US Army, was a veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired at Fort Hood as a Lieutenant Colonel. He subsequently attended the Seminary of the Southwest, was ordained to the priesthood of the Episcopal Church, and was pastor of Holy Trinity in South Austin. He retired from his priestly duties and moved to Lakeway eight years ago. He was a perpetual optimist and relished life.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marian, and is survived by his two sons, Stan and Mark, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 12 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., August 13 at St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church, 5600 RR 620 North, Austin, Texas 78732.
The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Longhorn Village for their loving care of Allan during the past year. The family asks that instead of flowers, contributions be made to St. Luke’s on the Lake Episcopal Church or the Longhorn Village Medical Care Center in his name.
