Brian William Mackie, age 63, of Lakeway, Texas, passed away at home on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born on Marchj 23, 1957 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was the son of Rosemary (Snyker) Mackie and William Mackie of Illinois. He married Linda Kathryn Miller in September 1985.
He is survived by his parents and sisters, Rhea (Dan) Angst and Tara (Mike)Kalamaras of Illinois. His brother, Kevin, preceded him in death.
Brian graduated from Downers Grove North High School in Downers Grove, Illinois, and received HVAC training at Environmental Technical Institute in Bensenville, Illinois, in 1987. He obtained a HVAC and Refrigeration contractor's license from the state of Texas in 2009 and started up his HVAC and Refrigeration company, Lake Travis Air Tech, in Lakeway, Texas. He retired from his business in April 2019.
Brian was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed riding his Harley, watching NASCAR and playing with his dog, Sadie, and cat, Max. Brian loved meeting people and had many close friends. He could fix almost anything and willingly offered his help and expertise to family, friends, and neighbors. Brian was a loving husband with a great sense of humor and so much fun to be around.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis, 411 RR 620 South, Lakeway. TX.
