Jack Theodore Leslie, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Austin, Texas. He was born to Virginia (Stonebraker) Leslie and William Ted Leslie on February 13, 1944 in Middletown, Ohio.
Jack graduated from Middletown High School and received a bachelor's degree from Miami University where he was as an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in The Army National Guard for several years. Following college graduation, Jack worked in sales, most notably for Armco/AK Steel.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Kristina M. Recker and her husband, John and their three daughters, Bryn, Rhys, and Dylan; as well as his fiancee, Barbara Miles, and his beloved dog, Sherman, all of Austin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Purdy-Leslie.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on December 5, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Chapel. A reception at the same location will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Austin or to the charity of your choice.
