

She was born in Wilmette, Illinois on January 22, 1936, daughter of Henry J. and Bess Boesch. She has two siblings who survive her, Joan Knapp and Henry J. Boesch, Jr.
Janet graduated from New Trier High School and went on to the University of New Mexico, Class of 1957. She was a Spanish major and also spoke Portugese, Italian, French, and German. Janet and her husband, Morris Davies, Jr., were married on April 27, 1963 and lived for many happy years in Georgetown, Maryland, where they raised their family. They recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.
Jan was a devoted wife and mother. She was an avid collector of antique dolls, and Founding President of the Eastern Shore Doll Study Club, a member of the United Federation of Doll Clubs. She hand-sewed exquisite dresses for many dolls in her collection, and frequently made her own patterns.
Janet is survived by the love of her life, Morris Davies, Jr., and her four children: Lindrith Davies (Lisa Cooley) of Jackson, Maine; Cristy Davies of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Jenny Davies-Reazor (James Reazor) of Newark, Delaware, and Heather Davies Bernard (Durel Bernard) of Austin, Texas. She has four grandchildren, Eli and Francie Davies and Jack and Sawyer Bernard.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 5/10/18 at 2 PM at St. Luke's on the Lake Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to the National Kidney Foundation.
