

On Friday, January 24, 2020, Jeffrey James Sandberg, loving husband to, Joyce, father of three children, Jessica, Taylor and Mariah and grandfather of three grandchildren, Dylan, Tripp and Wake passed away in Austin, Texas at the age of 59.
Jeff was Born on January 8, 1961 in Gary, Indiana and raised nearby in Portage where he participated in many sporting activities, most importantly soccer. He attended Northern Michigan University where he also played soccer and was the team captain both in high school and college.
Jeff moved to Houston, Texas after college where he began working in the bond business which he loved and made a lifelong career of and also met the love of his life, Joyce.
Jeff had a passion for surfing and spending time on the lake with family and friends. Jeff was the quintessential entertainer and instructor. He introduced many people to his love for the lake. Jeff welcomed everyone and made all feel like family, he had no enemies.
Jeff loved travel and embraced all adventures, both big and small. He loved the sand and sun and was always up for a beach trip whether it was another Country or the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed snow skiing and along with Joyce introduced their grandchildren to the sport.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, daughters, Jessica (38, and husband, Seth) and Mariah (27) and son, Taylor (33). His mother, Doris, sisters, Darlene and Michelle and brother, Ron. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles and sister, Teresa.

A Memorial will be held at The Reserve at Lake Travis Saturday, Feb 1, 2020 at 2:30 immediately followed by an epic party with BBQ, libations and live music, Jeff Sandberg style at the Sandberg Home.
