December 11, 1970 – April 13, 2015
Jennifer Lou Watkins, 44, was born in Austin, Texas to Carolyn and David Watkins. She graduated from Sidney Lanier HS in Austin and then attended college at the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Arlington. She then began her career in medical billing in the DFW area for several years before returning to her native Austin to be near family.
Jennifer's apparent reason for living was to spread love wherever she was. To be known by Jennifer was to be loved. To be her friend was to be cared for beyond measure. And to be her family was to be cherished and adored. But to be her dog, was to be luck personified. She celebrated the good fortunes, victories and accolades of others as if they were her own. No one could be happier for you than Jennifer. Her free time was filled with friends, preferably "chillin" together in a body of water or at least with one nearby. Her own personal paradise was floating in Lake Austin behind her momma's house, dog Maddie nearby.
Jennifer's sudden and unexpected death due to heart failure leaves us brokenhearted, knowing we will miss her in our daily lives and especially at family gatherings. We take great comfort knowing that she trusted Jesus with her life at a young age and has now received a new and glorified body that will endure perfectly for eternity. She is in the Presence of the Almighty!
Her father, David Watkins, precedes her in death.
She is survived by her mother Carolyn Watkins, brother Stephen Watkins, sister Sharon Jamail and husband David, and twin brother Patrick Watkins and wife Misty, honorary family Michael Rodriguez and Staci Singleton.; nieces and nephews Grace, Rosey, Annabel and Clara Jamail and Landon, Luke (Augie), Lily and Lawson Watkins; many adored aunts, uncle and cousins.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 17, 2015 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 411 Ranch Road 620, Austin, Texas. A light lunch reception will follow immediately. Visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday, April 16 at the same Funeral Home.
