John (Jack) L. West

John "Jack" was born in Moline, Illinois on January 8, 1932. He was blessed with loving parents and 3 sisters. He met and married the love of his life Doneta "Dee" Rose Steines in 1959. They had 2 sons, John and Chuck. He and the family moved from Moline to Brownsville, TX. in 1972 and in 1992 moved to Lakeway, TX. In 1996 Dee suffered a stroke and he cared for her until she passed away on July 11, 2008. Jack was a hairdresser and enjoyed golf, fishing and a good book. His passions were his sons, grandkids and great grandchild. Jack was very sociable and everyone that met him could not resist his charm. He is loved and will be missed by all.

Jack is survived by 3 sisters, 2 children, 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild , and other family and friends.

Jack is preceded in death by his mother Louella Podaril, Father Howard West, Step Father Chuck Podaril and Wife Dee West.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at Emmaus Catholic Church, 1718 Lohmans Crossing, Lakeway.
