Marc Michels

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marc Michels, who left us on March 10, 2025, in Austin, Texas. Born on February 26, 1966, Marc grew up in Germany before his journey led him to Canada, where he met the love of his life, Martine Lacombe. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and 31 years of cherished memories. They were blessed with a daughter, Leah, who was his pride and joy.

Marc and Martine spent time in South Florida before settling in Austin, Texas, where they have lived for the past eight years. An avid adventure motorcyclist, Marc found true joy on the open road, forming lifelong friendships with his riding companions. He was happiest exploring new places, sharing stories, and embracing the freedom of the ride.

He will be profoundly missed by his wife Martine, his daughter Leah, his brother Martin and sister Christina, both in Germany, as well as his extended family in Canada. His memory will also live on in the hearts of his many friends, fellow riders, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Marc’s legacy is one of adventure, kindness, and a love for life that will never be forgotten. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now riding freely on the eternal road.

A celebration of Marc’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Marc’s adventurous spirit by taking a ride, embracing the open road, or simply sharing a story in his memory.
