Martha was one of the few high-school friends I wanted to reconnect with--after years of searching I was saddened to see she had died nearly ten years ago. I don't know if her family and friends will read this, but I wanted them to know how much fun we had at Harriton, what a goofy, funny, affectionate friend she was, and how sorry I am that we lost touch.

Although I was unable to attend the memorial to celebrate Martha's life, I will always remember her courage and her friendship.  I'll never forget the picture she posted of Mother Martha and me that she secretly took at the late birthday celebration March 20, 2011.  She told me that me that we looked like we'd been drinking.   Her since of humor never ceased.  She thought that it was one of the funniest things she had pulled on us.  I love her for that and will never forget.

God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. Martha touched alot of lives...her smile...her strength....taking whatever obstacles she was thrown and never complaining. I have never known anyone like her and i dearly miss her. Love you girl!

Aunt Martha, 
My childhood is filled with memories of our time together...trips to Sea World, sleep-overs at your house, and having our pictures taken together.  You were always smiling, happy and positive.  You loved your nieces and nephews like we were your own kids.  When your great-nieces and a great nephew came along, you loved them unconditionally, too.  Uncle Bob asked me to make sure that Brooklynn knows who her Great Aunt Martha was...and I promise that she will.  Your story will be used to inspire her through her lifelong battle with a heart defect.  Thank you for always being there for me. I miss you so much, but I take comfort in knowing that you are an angel watching over us.       



Thank you for being who you were.  A strong, loving, honest and direct person.  Your bravery and strength will be a lasting memory for me. 



Someone once said"He who finds a friend, finds treasure." Martha was quite the gem. One of a kind. She was witty, smart, strong, great sense of humor and a joy to be around. We will all miss her very much. We can take comfort in knowing we have another angel in heaven watching over us!

You were my younger sister. You were a pain in my side at times but I did truely lovey you dearly. I am amazed at how you handled your illness you was always positive and in good spirits. 

we may have not seen eye to eye and I lost contact with you when I moved to indy but I did always think of you and rememberd the times we had when we were young. I will miss you. I am glad you are with dad and God and can watch over us. You was a wonderful sister. See you soon. I am glad you do not have to  go through the pain and the battle with lupus.

Through the years I  loved martha more and more, but I loved her the very first time I met her.  I admired her dedication to her family, friends and Bob, how she never complained and was always positive!  She always lifted me up and made me want to be a better person when I would be complaining about something unimportant.  She introduced me to a wonderfful family, that feels like my family.  I saw her a week or so before her passing and she was still being herself and so positive and I left with such a great feeling, because that is what she did.  I will always cherish our friendship and talks!  She was a special lady and she is sitting in heaven with all her dogs looking down on us and is no longer in pain, that is what gives me peace, love you Martha! Martha you were such a friendly person to know.  I remember the first time I met you.  I thought you were being mean to your mom and I yelled at you for it.  At the time I didn't know you were joking with her.  After that I knew we were alike because we both had a close bond with our mothers.  I was jealous of you back then because you still had your mom.  I found happiness knowing you and the love you showed your mom.  I hope that you will meet my mom and both of you can look over me and your mom.  You will truly be missed by all that had the opportunity to know you

We had so many fun times together, we shared alot in common many times. Im so thankful you are no longer having to go thru all the trials and tributes that life had given to you. You insipred me in so many ways with your strength and courage. You were just like the ole saying goes "dynamite comes in small packages". Bless you, now you are all healed and with all the angles.

Until Martha started driving a truck I didn't know her well because I only saw her periodically since she lived in Texas and I live in Indiana.  The year that she and Bob spent driving through Indiana were great.  We got to be acquainted.  I believe I am the only one in the family that still calls her "Sis".  I am not sure why I started calling her "Sis" but that is who she was to me.  I will miss talking to her occassionally, and the occassional phone calls.  I know that she is now with our grandmother, her dad, and my parents.  "Sis" I will always remember you.  God Speed on your journey home.

God has gone into His garden and picked another beautiful flower to become one of His brightest Angel Stars.  Martha was such a loving Friend to all, always had a smile and never met a stranger.  Martha was so sweet.

My thoughts and prayers go to Martha and all her Families and Friends.  We all have our different Memories Martha has left each one of us.  These happy, fun memories will bring a smile to all of us and to everyone in future generations.

   You were my big sister and I will always love you. You were such an inspiration to me. Even though you faced such trials and tribulations in your life you always had a positive outlook. You had such a great sense of being and you believed that staying positive was the best way to handle your situation, you were so right. 
   I am so sad that we lost you but am so happy that you are no pain free, whole, with dad and our lord and now you are a guardian angel to our family. 
   I will miss you everyday, but will rejoice in the life that you lived and the lives that you touched. We will be together again someday and will laugh, joke again.

Martha...I was looking forward to being able to spend more time with you now that I moved and I am so sad you are no longer here in this life and I miss you dearly.  However, I am so glad you are no longer in pain that you are free from the body that caused you such pain.

You are such an inspiration to so many as you always smiled and laughed in spite of the illnesses, the pain, and the constant trips to Drs. and hospitals.  So many admired your courage, your love, your compassion and your love for life and family. 

I admired you for always thinking of family and always being there for me when I needed you, you always stopped to see me in your travels driving your truck and made sure I was OK.   I already miss your smile, your laugh, your jokes and especially your dedication to your family including your pets.  

You are missed so much but I take comfort in knowing that you are now looking over me and I am jealous that you get to see Dad.  You are remembered always with fond memories.  I will see you again one day and I will greet you with open arms....
