Mary Sue Crossett

Mary Sue Crossett went home to Jesus and entered eternal glory with God in heaven on June 27, 2016. She was born April 9, 1922 in Athens, Texas to Ellis and Hallie Johnson. She remained in Athens until after graduating from high school, then moved to Dallas.

In Dallas Sue met and married Alfred Harold Crossett. They had one son, Steve Crossett. After her husband, Harold, died in 1982, she moved to Lakeway, Texas in 1983.

"Sweet Sue" as many called her, has been active in The Lakeway Church throughout the years, and was an avid golfer and bridge player.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Steve and Karla Crossett, one grandson, Travis Crossett; and five step-grandchildren (Paul, Eva, Elizabeth, Lela and Benjamin) and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her brother, Ted Johnson; and her beloved seventeen-year-old granddaughter, Tracey Leigh Crossett.

Her remains will be laid to rest in the Memorial Garden at The Lakeway Church. Memorial service will be held at The Lakeway Church in Lakeway, TX on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.

If you wish, in lieu of flowers, Sue would be pleased if you sent a memorial in her name to The Christi Center, 2306 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX 78756.

Although we will miss this lovely woman, we rejoice because she is with her Savior, saved for an everlasting resurrected life by God's grace, through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ. To Him be glory forever!
