Sarah Ellen Robbins Sords

Lt Sarah Robbins Sords, Navy Nurse Corps, USN (RET) passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Born in Asheville, NC on November 28, 1950, Sarah began her singing career in high school, graduating from MacArthur High School in San Antonio, TX in 1968. She went on to receive a singing scholarship to University of North Texas, followed by her Nursing Degree from the University of Texas - San Antonio, where she had a long successful nursing career, including her station on Guam during Vietnam.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Selma “Sally” Robbins. She is survived by her brothers Bill & Frank Robbins, and their wives Jeanette & Janet Robbins; daughters Kelly Wofford, and her husband Wesley, and Heather Sords; granddaughters Mackenzie Wofford & Lauren Wofford; nieces Ashley Rogers & Jamie Roberts; nephew Bill Robbins Jr; and several loved grand nieces, Emma, Kylie, Shea and Payton Rogers; and grand nephew, Merrick Roberts.

A celebration of life gathering for Sarah will be held Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 411 Ranch Road 620 South, Lakeway, TX 78734.
