Tom loved spending time with his family at the beach. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles (he and his wife (Ginny) took two cross country trips), golfing, he had a great love for music - and was a Drum Major in his high school marching band. He graduated from Harding High School in 1947 and was a lifetime member of the Alumni Association.
Tom went to church his whole life and was always an active member, due to his strong faith.
Tom proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Duke Power and retired after 40 years of service.
Tom was a Jaycee Sponsor Coordinator for many years and member of the Honda Goldwing Road Rider's Association.
Tom was a man of his word whose strength in life was as strong as his handshake. He was always there to help, listen and give stern advice at times.
