She was born in Rockdale, Texas, August 18, 1935, to Willie Mae and Bobbie Davenport. Gen was an excellent student and talented basketball player at Rockdale High School.
Always an avid outdoorsman, her favorite sport was salt water fishing at Rockport, Texas. Her favorite days were out catching huge red fish and giving the filets to many friends.
Gen was an active member of Lakeway Church. She loved helping elderly friends and will surely be missed every Sunday.
Being an animal lover she was associated with Bark N Purr Pet Center for 35 year, where she met so many of her friends.
Gen is survived by her best friend Betty Rollings, her niece Vicki Sue, her sister-in-law Reba and two cousins Dora Lee and Lou.
Gen requested that we have a celebration of her life instead of memorial services.
