

Bertha was born on February 26, 1913 in Browder, Kentucky
to the Reverend and Mrs. Samuel Breathett Dulin. One of
twelve kids, Bertha accepted the Lord and savior Jesus Christ
into her life at the age of twelve years old. She lived her early life
traveling the country singing "God's Praises" along with her
sister, brothers, and friends. Their Group titled "The Golden
Echoes" is the most remembered by fans and friends alike.
During her lifetime, she lived in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and
finally California where she moved to in 1966, along with her
family, to make this their home, She joined the Victory Baptist
Church under the leadership of Reverend A. A. Peters and
created a life of friendships that have stood the test of time.
She is survived by two sons -Samuel & Lawrence; one
daughter in law - Sandra; four grandchildren - Samuel, Jr.,
Miesha, Alexander, and Deondre; along with many cousins
that travel the branches of many generations of the family tree.
In the words of one of Bertha's favorite songs, '”If I could help
somebody as I travel along, then my living shall not be in vein”.
Her life was not in vein, we are stronger for it, and she
will be missed.
