Bree Bree - my twin, precious baby sister, and best friend. Where to begin… we share a bond like no other. A twin sister and brother are rare to see. 

Breuan and Breechelle or Breechelle and Breuan — Bree and Bree Bree or Bree Bree and Bree — Nicolette and Lawrence, along with Pooko and Poodawoodie or Roach and Roach. Everyone knew — we were always together. 

You are my twin, so we are matched for eternity. You knew my thoughts, and I knew yours, too. I knew what you were feeling inside before you felt it. 

Our journey began in Mama’s womb. We took our first breaths of life within two minutes of each other. Born together, raised together, we laughed and cried together. We played together, dressed alike, shared our most precious things, counted on each other, and always had each other’s back. 

Death takes the body, God takes the soul. My mind holds our memories. My heart keeps our love alive. My faith reminds me that I am forever your bro. 

They say time will heal all wounds. But until the end of time, I will never change the way I feel about losing you. 

Gone are the days that we share, but in my heart… you are always there. The gates of our memories will never close. I miss you more than anyone knows. As twins, we always walked side-by-side, but Bree Bree now has wings to fly.

You left us broken-hearted not knowing what to do, but now we find some comfort in memories of you. I knew when she was born, she was someone special. Her feet were turned inward, because of the position she was in when she was in her mother's stomach. In order to correct them, she had to wear special shoes with a brace at night. I would put them on her, but by morning she had worked her way out of them and would be standing up in her crib sucking her thumb and twirling her hair.

She was a great softball and basketball player. She was smart, loving, caring, compassionate, encouraging to others and loved everyone unconditionally. Her smile would light up a room when she walked in.

We had awesome love for one another. I am going to miss those late night and early morning conversations. Every time we spoke, I would say "What's up Bree Bree", and she would say, "I am good."

I love you Bree Bree, and you will remain in my heart for the rest of my life. I will see you when I get home. Love Dad

You will surely be missed. You will always have a place in Uncle Ernest's and my heart. I remember when I first heard that I was going to be an aunt, I was so excited.  When you, Breuan and Amanda were little I remember all three of you would try to sit on my lap at once. I loved it, but your dad would tell you and Breuan to get up because you were too big. Uncle Ernest and I were so proud of
you the day when you walked up to get your diploma from Azusa Pacific University. I can still see your beautiful smile as you turned to wave at all of your family. We were even more proud when you decided to move to Arizona on your own to go to law school. That's when I knew you had grown into a beautiful independent young woman. You became self-reliant, making your own way.  We love you, and you will forever be missed and in our hearts.

Thanks to your Dad and Mom for giving me the honor to be your Nana. A photo of you with my Mom, your Mom, your Godsister and me hangs on my wall, that was the last time we saw you. I am going to miss that smile and my hugs. We love you Bree Bree but God loves you more.

You will truly be missed, but you will always remain in my heart!

As I sit here and write this, I continue to pray and ask god why you? How could a person that was so amazing, full of love, and outgoing be gone so soon? As I reminisce on all the wonderful memories we had together and tell the stories of the great times, tears come to my eyes. We had so much planned this year. This was going to be your year, moving forward with your career and beginning a new chapter in life. God had other plans for you. I will never forget the first time we met and how close we became within a short time. I was always the baby of the group and you never let me forget that. You became more than a friend, you became my big sister. Making sure I was always doing what I was supposed to do and being where I was supposed to be. As the days led up to the day you were called home we sat on the phone for hours talking about all the fun times we had. We would hang up and call each other right back saying  saying, "Do you remember this?".  Those conversations will stay with me forever. Lola asks about you every day, I ask that you watch over her and protect her. She will love you forever! I would usually send this over to you to proof read and help make it perfect, I would have never thought I would be writing this for you. You will forever be the bestest friend I’ve ever had. I love you Breechelle Nicolette Day (SugaBear). 

Our relationship was one of the most important ones in my life. I am heartbroken. As kids I was the baby running behind y’all. As adults we thugged it out, and became so much closer. I would always say, “Yeah! I’m her cousin Britt!”---  everyone knew it too! I called you for everything. We talked about so many things in life. I was always so proud of you, you never folded. You have been by my side through a lot of things. I will forever be grateful. We’ve shared laughs and tears together. I’m going to miss you tapping in, hearing you say “I love you cousin”. I know I can’t question God, but this is a tough one. You know imma always check in on your pops, mom, and Roach. Get pops that Louisiana when he wants it! Please hug my mama for me! I won’t say goodbye, a simple I’ll see you later! I love you for Life Breechelle! 

Mannn I never imagined the day where I'd have to sit up and be writing a message to you that you can't even read. This still feels like I'm dreaming. I been finding myself zoning out just thinking about so many different memories...we been rocking for over 20 years and we always said blood couldn't make us any closer. This is hard to swallow. I'm just zoned out, because there was so much left unsaid and so many questions unanswered.. Tell my mom hey for me. Fly high!! I love you and I'll see you on the other side. 

We know God always has a plan and his plan is perfect, but losing you is hard to accept. It seems like just yesterday we were kids fighting in Grandma's bedroom, then next thing you know I'm going to your high school graduation and off to college you went to continue your greatness. Three years and several miles apart, but I thought we'd always have our whole lives to make memories, laugh and grow together. I am so proud of all you were and the mark you left on this world. Absent from the body but never from the heart. Until I see you again, hold it down up there. Love you!

I remember the times when you were very young and you and your cousin Amanda use to play together and sometimes even fight together. But it was all about the love. Then in the blink of an eye you had grown up to become this beautiful, bright and brilliant young lady who I was so proud of. Gone too soon, but we know God has bigger and better plans for you. He’s waiting for you with open arms saying, "Come on home my child I have work for you to do up here." I will miss you. Rest In Peace.

Thirty-One will always be too soon. While thinking of these words to write I probably scanned over 100 photos of you as we prepare to share the greatest parts of you with everyone today. I'm not sure which memory will hold in everyone hearts when they think of you, but for me, it will always be your SMILE. For your entire life I have taken pride in being your big sister. As you grew into yourself, I admired your unapologetic approach toward life. If you wanted it, you went for it and you never gave up. Your independence reminded me so much of myself, which is why I wasn't the one to call you everyday because I knew you always had it together, but now I wish I had called you not once, but two times, three times a day. This is now my regretful pain, but I hear your voice in my head saying "SIS", which is what you always called me and I am comforted because that is what I will forever be. Your Big Sis. I want to keep writing, and writing because its so hard to let you go, but I know you are here with me and we will see each other again. Until then, stay my shining star.

I read a passage that spoke to me, It stated, “The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts”. Which led me to think of you. I wanted to take a moment to express gratitude and give grace to the Lord for him allowing me the privilege and honor to call you my sister. Your presence has always been a fluorescent beam of light that couldn’t be dimmed. You’ve always been an ultra ray of sunshine, your words of encouragement held weight, your LOVE has always been durable, immeasurable and infinite. The love we shared was from and God, and  filled a sisterhood that was genuine and You and I are cut from the same cloth and we literally bragged to the world about it. We laughed and loved how our fathers articulated are names to coincide (Cherrelle & Breechelle). It was always confirmed that we are aligned in faith to share and  establish greatness! No matter the occasion whether spending quality time with family, engaging in sport activities, or pursuing college. As we transition into adulthood, overcoming hurdles and challenges we held each other accountable. Our FAITH guided our success. "Thank You!" for supporting me, praying and confiding in me, Sister. Thank You for supporting me when I didn’t see the vision. 
Nipsey once said, “The Highest Human Act, Is To Inspire”. My heart is heavy but I understand that the Lord makes no mistakes and we are truly blessed to experience those that we love. Myself and everyone felt your presence , has sincerely been inspired by your greatness Breechelle. Your legacy is inspirational, as you ALWAYS said : “Successful Ones Live On” and today we gather to celebrate a true astonishing Angel. I love you, I’ll see you later.

My hearts hurts as you were taken away from us too soon. I am truly going to miss you so much. We made sure to check in on each other from time to time and when we did it was like no time was missed. Our conversations --- never a dull moment. You always had me laughing and had me shaking my head at your stories. I will forever cherish the memories we created and the moments we shared together. I love you always.

Our time was cut too short and I want so desperately to go back in time so that I can hug you a little longer, extend our final words from minutes to hours, and to remind you how loved and beautiful you are. I am so honored to call you my baby sis and not because of all your accolades and achievements, and trust me there are plenty; but because of the way you made people feel. The unconditional love you showed for family and friends; and the spirit you brought to any room… these are the imprints of life that truly last forever and will always keep you near. Although, today feels emotionally like a goodbye this is just the beginning of our part two. Where your touch will feel a little different, your voice a little faint, and your address is completely off the grid. For you now live in an exclusive gated community with the best views and strict member access. Sadly, I can’t go in but I know you will always be near. I can still hear your vivacious laugh, and will never forget your smile. You were always remembered as a young lady who did persevere, was a very reserved person, humble individual, loyal person that possessed a magnetic spirit with a heart of gold. I remember the day you were born and came home like yesterday. I looked at you and the word princess uttered out of my mouth. And that was what I called you until you were called home by the divine spirit of the Lord. On this journey called life, we never know what to expect; however, we know we have purpose through the Holy Spirit of the Lord, and he dictates our experience in this realm. This ain't the way things are supposed to be. As a Parent now, I know. My heart broke for you and the family the moment I heard. I am sorry you transitioned Breechelle, this is terrible news. I am praying to God for strength, peace, and comfort over you, Breaun, Aunt Sherrie , Uncle Bert, and the whole family at this time. 

I remember when you and Breaun were just little guys, pre teens really. And i took you guys across the street from Me and Sherries apartment to the park on Tujunga to shoot off some fireworks that i had brought back from the valley of fire. 

After we shot a few fireworks off, a police helicopter began shining its light on the park, looking for who was shooting aerial fireworks, and me and you and Breaun kept running in circles around that tree for about 15 minutes as the helicopter kept circling the immediate area, so I could make sure we stayed out of the light so they wouldn't see us. When they finally flew away we ran back to your big cousins/ sisters apartment.

You and Breaun were laughing so hard afterwards and then you both suddenly stopped laughing and simultaneously looked at me and asked, "Corey, are we criminals now, we don't wanna be criminals?!" 

It made me chuckle a bit, but the question was genuine and i reassured you both that we most certainly were not criminals, we just shot off some big fireworks and the cops just wanted to watch the show. 

I pray that you rest in heavenly peace forever more kiddo. This one hurts a lot. My heart goes out to Uncle Bert Aunt Sherrie, and Breaun especially. You're all some of the best people I've ever met in my life, more like family than anything else. 😢 💔 😞 😪 🥺🙏🏽🙇🏽‍♂️

I’ve definitely been holding back posting here. Because it seems like a bad dream! As cousins we were always deep. Every family function, or even just popping up at our relatives houses. Breechelle has been more than my cousin my entire life. This really my dawg! We have thugged out so much together as adults. We‘ve lived together for a short period of time, during her law school days. I’ve always been so proud of who she was. She’s never not been her true self. I was the baby, and hated when they got on me. But I’m appreciative of the love & support I’ve gotten from her. I’m forever going to love you cousin. I keep saying it’s unfair, & being heartbroken. I don’t understand why it had to be you! I truly hope you know how much we love you as a family! ♥️🕊️

Bree Bree! Man you are the definition of kind hearted and compassionate. You were so excited about the future about the bar exam about life in general. You always told me “all we got is our name” so you put your all into anything that had your name attached to it. You always made it your duty to look out for the people you cared about. God knew what he was doing when he put me, you and Nene on the same team at work. We instantly became real friends and we’ve been locked in ever since. You showed up and supported me anytime I called you and I thank you for that. We’ve shared tears, fun times, and laughter together and for that I am eternally grateful. I can’t lie. I don’t even know what to say. I’m still at a lost for words. I’ve never in my 34 years of life have ever met somebody as Genuine as you. From the time we met we clicked and over time we became inseparable. You was ying and I was Yang. Wherever you was going I was going. she was hands down the best friend I’ve ever had in my life. We had plans, we was leaving Arizona this year but we ain’t know where we was going but we was going. We was just about to go to Tucson so you can take that Bar exam Cause only the lord knows how much I needed you to do that 😂😂😂 but I promise you im gonna finish what we started. I’m still going on Vacation so I can get myself together and when I come back I got you. Her clothing line will Definitely be up and running by the end of this year. S.O.L.O. Successful Ones Live On

I don't know where to begin. Sometimes I wake up and I feel like this is a bad dream. We grew up K-12 only 5 houses apart in stonegate. I remember everyday we'd walk from hillview to
Rancho vista to pick up my baby brother and walk home. I remember when we went to get our braces. I remember going to the see U got served and the dance battles you me Mariya Myron breuan and Jason had in my backyard. I remember us all
Competing to have straight A's in school and the talks of who we wanted to be and become. The memories of how much we did together and shared have flooded my thoughts knowing now you're not here to reminisce with me in the future years to come.

One day I was home from summer break in college and we were all at Mariya's house. You said you're ambitious I think you should check out this business and it would be a great business for you on June 10, 2011. 11 years later that business has changed my life and introduced me to my now husband whom you never got a chance to meet. I'm forever grateful to you.

You were a peacemaker , you brought everyone together, there was always a solution. You strove for excellence in school and sports and touched the lives of so many with your jokes and laughter. You will be forever missed, forever remembered, forever in my heart..

To have to accept this is painful. Since 4th grade, Breechelle was a friend who became family. She and Mariya formed a bond that was unmatched & through that bond I was fortunate enough call Breechelle forever family. She and Breaun are twins, me & Mariya are twins, all the same age, who quite literally grew up together. It pains me we won’t be able to all gather in our 40s 50s 60s to look back and laugh at all the crazy things we’ve done coming up together. Bree will forever live on within all of us. Cheers!

I’ve been visiting your page all day today contemplating on what to say. It feels so weird even writing this. I’m still in disbelief and denial, and I am completely heartbroken! 💔 However, I’m so blessed and thankful to have met you. 20 plus years of friendship, ballin females up lol, sharing many many laughs together, calling each other every year on our birthdays, and randomly checking up on one another meant a lot to me. And although we didn’t talk everyday, when we did know that each convo was special to me 🥰 I promise to look after Bre, Uncle, and Auntie. I love you forever! Until we meet again. Rest in paradise my angel! 👼🙏🏽❤️

I am truly at a lost of words. Bree always made me feel apart of our travel team, even when I didn’t always feel that I belong. I was not as good as the other girls 😂😅 however Bree always made me feel apart. we lost touch when I stop playing ball and i never got to tell her how I appreciated her kindness. I remember when we weren’t playing our best she would look each team member in the eye who was on the court at the time in a firm manner and say “ let’s go “

That meant we better then this and the team we were playing so let’s get it let’s go!!! Bree truly was a real one her presence was enough! Bree was so chill so coo, she will forever be missed! One love 💔! My comfort and love to her family and friends may you find a level of comfort in your memories of Bree!

I remember hanging out with Breechelle and her group of friends at Hillview-Mariya, Myron, Jasmine, Samantha, Kyle… probably a few others I’m forgetting. I don’t remember how we all met, but I’m glad we did. When I think back to my middle school experience, she is part of it. Our lunch breaks were the highlight of my school days. I remember laughing so much with everyone. I remember how funny she was, how quietly she spoke. I remember we would sit together if we ever found out we were in the same class but it would never last.  Every teacher would separate us- we would talk too much and disrupt everyone. So much so, I remember we were both shocked when we found out we both had really good grades. She was so smart and always the voice of reason. 
After middle school we lost touch but I will always remember you, Breechelle🕊️✨❤️

Brechelle you always had good spirits around me and even on my worst days you’d keep me smiling and laughing  . You will always be loved and remembered by many angel 🙏🏽💕🕊️

Breechelle, was such an amazing person, she had a heart of gold. No matter what she was going through she was always of service to everyone around her rather she knew u or not! She was always striving to be her best self… Breechelle motivation was her parents, she will always say “I want to be on the level of success as my Mom and Pops.” I know for sure she was gone get there because n her last days she was making so many changes within self and moving much different and was proud of who she was becoming. Her future so bright, she told me one day she was starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Guess God had a brighter light. I will always miss u Breechelle, my life will not be the same without you HEAVENS FINEST REST WELL #S.O.L.O

My sweet, hilarious, wonderful work partner. I miss you so much, life is truly not the same without you. Personally and professionally you were such an amazing support to me. Bree was on my team at work, and I absolutely loved being her supervisor. She was such a fun person to interact with, and was always a bright spot of my day. We had a lot of great inside jokes over the years. She will be missed dearly.



Bree! My friend, my dog! You will be truly missed. I'll miss not having you there to chop it up with, I'll miss not being able to walk over to your desk and just see what's new in life. We always had a story or two for each other! It'll be weird not seeing you around, but you're resting now. RIP! ❤

Bree was there to check in and see how someone was doing no matter how her day was going. She was the life of our team when I had the honor of working with her daily. The world lost a bright light but heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Thank you for all the good times and laughs, we'll forever miss you Auntie Bree.

It is difficult to think about you at time like this because you will always be missed.  You were such a  phenomenal person and I was privilege to have gotten to know you not only as someone I worked with but as a dear friend.  You will never know the impact you made on me.  I will always carry the fond memories of us down the road that we once travel and know that one day we will meet again.  Until then old friend, heaven is now more beautiful because they got you.  REST IN PEACE!
