

Ezra Revier Palmer passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025, at the age of 90 in Lancaster, California. Born on March 23, 1934, he dedicated much of his life to his family, friends, and community. Revier is survived by his loving wife, Merretta Palmer; his children, Karen Star, Susan Steinburg, Stephen Palmer; 11 grandchildren,and 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Houghten and a brother, Jim Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents Noble Revier Palmer and Gladys Smith Palmer and his brother Don Palmer. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Revier’s strong testimony was evident in all aspects of his life. His commitment to his faith extended into his community involvement and personal interests. He spent countless hours in genealogical research, tracing family histories and connecting generations. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, Revier served in the U.S. Army for two years. Following his military service, he returned to BYU, where he received a Master’s degree in chemistry. While he originally studied to become a research chemist, he decided to channel his discipline to teaching. He became a beloved college chemistry professor at Antelope Valley College for 36 years, where he influenced numerous lives. A private person when it came to his own accomplishments, Revier’s actions spoke louder than words. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer support to those in need. He will be missed by the many people who were influenced by his example and service.
A visitation and viewing for Revier will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Joshua Memorial Park Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93535.
A second viewing will be available on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3140 W Ave K, Lancaster, CA 93536. The funeral service will immediately follow from 10:30 - 11:30 AM at the same location.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, March 5, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, at Joshua Memorial Park, 808 East Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93535.
