Frieda Martha Parker

Ms. Frieda Parker, 91, of California City passed away peacefully on 12 February 2026. Frieda dedicated much of her life nurturing children, retiring after 30 devoted years working at the Child Care Center at Edwards AFB. She loved the Lord above all and found joy in the simple pleasures; camping, cheering for NASCAR races, and enjoying trips to Las Vegas with family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Parker, her sons Donald Parker and Clifton Parker, and loved ones who await her in eternity. Frieda is survived by five children: Udo Parker of Wiesbaden, Germany, Steven Parker of Tehachapi, California, Christine Miller, Sonja Edmondson, and Karen Zang of California City, California. She is also survived by two beloved sisters, Martha Dick of Germany and Christa Barson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends. A memorial service to celebrate Frieda’s life will be held on 28 February 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Community Church of California City, 21001 Conklin Blvd, California City, California 93505. A celebration of Frieda’s Life is scheduled immediately afterwards.

A funeral service will be held at California City Community Church, located at 21001 Conklin Blvd, California City, CA 93505, on February 28, 2026, at 11:00 am.

A graveside service will take place at Bakersfield National Cemetery, 30338 E Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, CA 93203, on March 2, 2026, at 10:45 am
