Born and raised in Lancaster, CA, to Roscoe F. Fisher and Irene Towne Fisher, he was a hard working, caring, loving, grumpy, strict, funny, quiet man. He never said he loved you, but he showed his love through his actions.
He is survived by his wife Royce Leah Temple Fisher and four of his five children: Vicki Fisher Stremel(John, lone Leah Fisher Barnhart (deceased), Bary Neal Fisher, Sara Jane Flores ( John) and Teresa Babette Roberts (Anthony), Siblings: Donald Fisher (Barb), Nancy Bull and Sister-in-Law Shirely Shelton,
13 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren.
Served in the U.S. Army as a cook, worked as a turkey and hay hauler, greens keeper, motorhome transporter. Worked for Valencia Trucking, Northrop Grumman and was a Teamster.
His pride and joy was his wife, whom he cherished and considered her his Snow White to his Grumpy persona. he cherished his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends, family members and even people he met throughout his life.
Our parents loved adventure, from camping, motorhomes, parasailing, zip lining. Besides traveling to and though almost every state in the USA, they ventured to Costa Rica Mexico, Canada, Iceland and Morocco.
Dad had a passion for projects of all kinds, from Studebaker trucks, Model A, traveling, fishing, gardening that included flowers, vegetables and fruit trees and made his own special James, cooking and candy making. Everything was made from scratch, he never measured anything when cooking, a pinch here and a dash there was his way. He made the best peanut butter cookies, brittles of any kind, Salisbury steak, dinner rolls and loved to teach anyone that had an interest.
Even though Dad was a quiet man, you knew when he gave you a look, you'd better straighten up. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and was willing to help everyone.
He never complained about not feeling good. He had a bad back, bad shoulders and bad knees and still muddled though his life. His medical issues were many the older he got, he fought a good fight, but in the end, he was ready. He is in a better place without pain or struggles.
He is truly loved and will be missed by many..
