Services will be on August 22, 2025 at Joshua Memorial Park Mortuary 808 East Lancaster Blvd.

Jean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was filled with kindness, grace, compassion, and love for her family. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance.
She was born in Los Angeles, California and moved to Lancaster in 1954. She enjoyed traveling across the United States and up into Canada with her loving husband Floyd of 39 wonderful years. They then moved to Pismo Beach in 2015 making beautiful memories and loving every minute of her time there. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Quartz Hill, California and then in Grover Beach, California. In 2023 they moved back to Lancaster.
She was preceded in death by her parents Olin and Ethel Rupp.
She is survived by her husband Floyd Whittlesey. Her twin sons James (Shirlee) Towne Sr. and Kenneth Towne. Her four grandchildren Heather (Brad) Wygant, Jason (Brandi) Towne Sr., James (Sasha) Towne Jr. and John Towne. Her six great-grandchildren Austin (Rachel) Wygant, Bryce Wygant, Jason Towne Jr., Ethan Towne, Katie Towne, and Adrian Towne. Her two great-great-granddaughters Peyton and Parker Wygant.
