Linda Maestas, born in December of 1946, in San Pedro, California, went to her heavenly home with our Lord on September 13, 2025. She is one of five children; three sisters and two brothers. She has two daughters (one living), two sons and nine grandchildren. Her Parents Edward and Helen Coleman moved around a lot when Linda was young, so Linda grew up calling home to many cities, farms and mountain towns throughout California.
Linda is survived by her children; Kelly Barlow (spouse Richard Barlow), Christopher Maestas (spouse Stephanie Maestas) and Ubaldo (UB) Maestas II (spouse Jamie Maestas); Grandchildren; Andrew Barlow (Spouse Taylor Barlow), Aaron Barlow, Autumn Maestas, Savanah Barlow, Sparrow Maestas, Scotland Maestas, Charlotte Maestas, Sunday Maestas and Ziva Maestas; Two Brothers; Edward Coleman Jr and Michael Coleman, as well as many more that she considered family. She is also survived by Holly, her loyal and beloved dog, who was a constant companion and source of comfort in her later years.
Linda and her late husband, Ubaldo Maestas, shared nearly 45 years of marriage, building a life full of love, laughter, and shared memories. Their bond was a testament to devotion and partnership, and her heart remains forever tied to his. She is now reunited with Ubaldo and their beloved daughter, Kimberly Maestas, whom she missed dearly.
Linda had many passions, with crocheting and gardening being two of her greatest loves. She found peace and joy in her garden, especially in the beautiful roses she tended with such care and devotion. Her roses were a symbol of her nurturing spirit, and she often shared their beauty with others. Whether it was through the art of crocheting or cultivating her beloved flowers, Linda's hands always created something beautiful, just as her heart did for those around her.
Above all, Linda’s Legacy is the people she loved. “Blood related” or not, she considered everyone family and would always welcome anyone inside her home to have a warm meal (with lots of leftovers), and to stay, for as long as they could. Many people called her friend, as well as “Mom.”
A Viewing/Memorial Service of Linda's life will be held on September 27, 2025 from 10am to 12pm at Joshua Memorial Park, 808 East Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, CA. With a Reception/Celebration of Life, following after at an alternate location.
All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and honor her memory.
(Please honor Linda by wearing her favorite color, purple.)
"Her life was a blessing,
Her memory a treasure,
She is loved beyond words
And missed beyond measure." - Renee Wood
