

She was born Norma Jean Jenkins on November 29, 1934. She came first, followed quickly by her identical mirror twin, Shirley Ann. She grew up in Waco, Texas.
She married her high school sweetheart, Weldon Winston Teague, in an identical double wedding with her sister, on August 27, 1955. Weldon got a job at McDonnell Douglas and they moved to Southern California in 1960.
Norma and Weldon had four daughters: Cheryll Ann, Lynda Kay, Michelle Diane and Janet Lynne.
Norma was a wonderful, cheerful mother who always looked on the bright side of life. She was a great cook and talented homemaker. She loved to sew for her daughters and was accomplished in embroidery and needlework. She won many local awards for her embroidered baby quilts, pillowcases, and wall hangings. She always fully participated
and volunteered at her local church and sang in the choir for over 20 years. She was active in the United Methodist Women and held many leadership positions. Her favorite Bible verse was, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”-Philippians 4:13.
She loved genealogy and devoted countless hours to researching her ancestors all the way back to England in the 1600’s.
She became a preschool teacher in the 1960’s. In the 1980’s, she went to college and earned her Associates of Arts Degree in Early Education. She graduated with honors. She then became a preschool director. She worked as a director until she retired in the early 1990’s.
After 39 years of marriage, she became a widow in 1994. On January 3, 1997, she married Robin Ray Stuart. They were married for 23 years. Robin passed away one week before Norma, on November 22, 2020.
Norma is survived by her twin sister, Shirley Arruda; her four daughters, Cheryll Jacobs, Lynda Poblete, Michelle Crawford and Janet Teague; seventeen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest in a graveside service at Joshua Memorial Park on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00am.
