

Phil was born in West London, England to Joan Wright and the late John Edward Wright. He passed away in his home surrounded by his loving wife and extended family after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Rita, his devoted mother, Joan Greene, daughters Shawna McIntyre (Scott) and Angela, and son Philip Jr., brothers Anthony, (Ina), John, David, (Ann) of the Antelope Valley, and sister Nancy Valencia (Ray) of Portland, Oregon, as well as his beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are aunts Jean Harris of Vancouver, B.C. and Eileen Harris of London, and uncle Peter Harris of Sussex. He was preceded in death in 2002 by his daughter Roxanne Wright.
Phil was a devoted family man who came to the Antelope Valley as a youngster with his family. He was a gifted artisan in all areas of carpentry, and was a licensed general contractor. He could keep a car running with wire and duct tape, and frequently had to on adventures. He was an avid LA Kings fan, attending games since their first season in 1967. He was always happy in his garden, coaxing lush fruits and vegetables from the arid Mojave soil.
Phil will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. Services will be held at 10 am Friday, May 25, with viewing Thursday, May 24 from 5-7 pm., at Joshua Memorial Park.
