Rebecca Kaye Berr

Beloved daughter, sister and aunt Rebecca put the "Special" in special needs. In her thirty-six years, she became friends with everyone she met. Rebecca loved school, and attended Lorantz and Leichman schools in Reseda. She attended Quartz Hill and Lancaster High Schools. Rebecca was proud of her work at the Daystar Foundation, as well as Special Olympics Bowling team. She enjoyed spending time at Congregation Beth Knesset Bamidbar. She was blessed to have had a kidney transplant in 1982. Unfortunately she had to return to dialysis in 2008, and was hospitalized frequently. Rebecca is survived by her mother Ivy Berr, sister Flossie Maatita (Ron), nieces Bailey and Avery Maatita, step-Father Eli Colvin, step-brother David Colvin, and nephews Joshua, Justin, Jason, Jesse and Jeffrey Colvin, and their spouses and children Funeral Services will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Beth Knesset Bamidbar, 1611 East Avenue J, Lancaster, followed by a graveside service at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, 808 East Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster.
