Passed to a better place on May 3, 2022. Roger was born in St. Paul Minnesota Nov 4, 1934. He is survived by sons Stuart (Sheri) Avery, Roger (Judy) Rydell and Sean (Rhonda) Rydell; Brothers Stan (Sue) Rydell and Bruce (Mardi) Rydell; Brother-in-law Steve (Trudy) Wright; Grandchildren Nathan, Rachelle and Brandon Avery, Kaitlin and Ashley and Rydell, Chris Avery II; His Great Grand Children, Olivia, Marissa, Alex, Clarisa, Joseph, Allina, Savannah, Michael, Cali, Cayden, Vienna and Curran. He was proceeded in Death by; Wife Dorothy (Dottie) Rydell, Daughter Karen Zontine and Son Chris Avery. "Big Rog” was a loving, caring and giving husband, father, brother and Friend.
He served in the United States Air Force in 1953-1957. After being in the service he headed out west to California seeking his dream to work as an Air Traffic Controller. It was in Los Angeles where he met the Love of his Life, Dottie who was working as a waitress. They fell in love, got married and moved to Lancaster, California. Roger worked in the Antelope Valley as an Air Traffic Controller for the FAA. He played a big part in Coaching baseball and football in the Monte Vista area where he resided for 58 years. He will truly be missed!
