Sam is survived by his daughter Angela (Erik) Slocum, mother Millie Alessi, brother Don (Maria) Alessi, sister Roseanne (Mike) McKean, and brother Joey Alessi, all of Lancaster, California.
He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Sammy. He was preceded in death by his father Dominic Alessi.
Despite being diagnoses with MS at the age of 17, Sam lived life to the fullest. His proudest moment was walking his daughter Angela down the aisle when she and Erik were married. He was also so happy to be able to dance on Dick Clark's American Bandstand for several years.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church In Lancaster on Saturday, January 30, with a Rosary starting at 9:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m.
Private interment will be held at a later date.
