Alcides Emeterio Rodriguez was born in Holguin, Cuba, to Salvador Rodriguez and Luz Sofia Font on December 22, 1933. He went to School at the Holguin School of Commerce. He served in communications in the Cuban army. He came to the United States in July of 1959. He married Neyda Eugenia Rodriguez on August 19, 1960. He graduated from Los Angeles City College. He worked as an accountant and controller at Barbara of California, American Metaseal for over 29 years. After retirement, he worked part-time as an accountant at H&R Block.
Alcides is proceeded in death by his father, Salvador Rodriguez, his mother, Luz Sofia Font, and his brother Also Rodriguez.
He is survived by his wife Neyda E. Rodriguez, his daughter, Neyda B. Toranzo (Dr. Eric Toranzo), his grandchildren, Joshua D. Toranzo, Caleb N. Toranzo (Andrea Toranzo), Joel A. Toranzo, Jonathan I. Toranzo, Elyse N. Toranzo and Benjamin M. Toranzo.

A visitation for Alcides will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Palm Northwest Mortuary, 6701 North Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 12:00pm at Palm Northwest with Pastor David Dandy of Mountain View Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow at Palm Northwest Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Palm Northwest Mortuary.
