Amelia “Amy” Schwartz, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away on October 28, 2014. She was born in Batavia, Illinois in May of 1926 to Peter Kershulis and Mary Ann Kukorait. She graduated nursing school in Aurora, Illinois in 1945 and then traveled west and settled in Las Vegas in 1946. She worked as a nurse at Clark County Hospital, which later became UMC hospital. She met the love of her life, George, and they married and had three children. Amy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons George Jr. and Joe. She is survived by her son, Robert, grandsons George III and Gregory, her great-granddaughter Sage, her sisters Ann Robarts and Mary Kershulis, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a visitation on Thursday November 6, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with the funeral beginning at 11:00 A.M. at Palm Mortuary South Jones 1600 S Jones Blvd Las Vegas, NV with a burial to follow at Bunkers Memory Gardens at 7251 West Lone Mtn Las Vegas, NV 89129.
