

Angelo Baldare, Father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Angelo P. Baldare, 69, of Las Vegas, left this Earth and joined the ranks in Heaven March 27, 2011. He began his life Jan. 18, 1942, in Chicago, the youngest of 12 children, and was a 49-year resident of Nevada. He joined the U.S. Navy at 17,and served on the USS Chicago. In 1962, he moved to Las Vegas, where he began his culinary career at The Sands Hotel, later becoming a chef at the Golden Nugget. He wore many different hats throughout his life including a truck driver, a skilled craftsman, contractor, hotel engineer, to name a few, and ending his career as a supervisor for Veolia Energy. Dad sang with The LV Gamble-Aires and also sang lead in The Wild Chords quartet. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Angelo is survived by his son, Dennis Baldare; daughter, Laura Baldare; grandsons, Joshua and Bryce Baldare; granddaughters, Alecia Baldare and Brooklyn Threadgill; great-grandson, Kaidan Baldare; sisters, Mary Burton, Aurora Pawly, Ruth Gerali, Gerry Partipilo, and Lil Langtry; brother, Bob Baldare; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
