Anthony A. "Chubby" Galuppi

Anthony A. (Tony) Galuppi, 77 of Las Vegas passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. He was born February 17, 1935 in Syracuse, NY; he was a 19 year resident of Las Vegas. He retired from security at the Las Vegas Club and prior he had served his country in the US Marine Corps. Tony was loved by everyone who knew him with his larger than life persona, back in Syracuse all his friends knew him as "Chubby". He is survived by his wonderful wife of 53 years; Mary Jane, daughters; Michelle (Sam) of Las Vegas, Louise of Florida, Angela (Gene) of Las Vegas, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brothers; Phil (Corrine) of Syracuse, James (Theresa) of California, Robert (Tina) of Pahrump, Kenny of Syracuse, sister; Marilyn Ryan (Pat) of Syracuse, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 3- 7 PM Monday, March 5, 2012 with Rosary being said at 6:00 PM at Palm Mortuary 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Funeral Service will be 11 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 also at Palm Mortuary 1600 S. Jones Blvd. with burial to follow at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. A service in Syracuse, New York will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the USO. Tony always knew how to live, love and laugh with family and friends, "Semper Fidelis our loving Tony". Arrangements under the direction of Palm South Jones Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
