Anthony R. Mohorek

Anthony spent much of his adult life residing in Midlothian, Illinois, until which time he retired to North Las Vegas, Nevada in 2005. Anthony started his mechanical career after attending Chicago Vocational High School. Anthony worked at V&M Marine Service, UPS, IDOT, and his long and successful tenure at the Chicago Transit Authority where he spent the last 26 years of his career. He was a dedicated worker and friend to those who got to know him.

Anthony was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 1st, 1942 to Josephine Mohorek(Moniak) and Anton Mohorek. Brother to Josephine Polaczek and the late Michael Mohorek.

Anthony was a loving husband to Judy Mohorek(Hosang), loving father to Scott Mohorek(Toni), and loving grandfather to Samantha and Nathan Mohorek.

Anthony was a loving uncle to David Polaczek, Randy Polaczek, Michael Mohorek, Mark Izral, the late Nancy Izral, Brandon Silanskis, and LeeAnn Krambeck.

Anthony was a loving brother-in-law to Carol Izral and the late Frank Izral.

A celebration of life for Anthony will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Lamb of God Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Nevada.
