Arthur "Gene" Moore

Arthur “Gene” Moore, 73 of Las Vegas, passed away on March 3, 2018. He was born on January 5, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to his parents, Harold and Clarissa Moore. He went to college at UNLV and graduated from UNR in 1969. He served in the Army as a Telecommunications Officer during the Vietnam War. Gene worked his entire life in Telecommunications for various companies including Centel, Nextel and Sprint. He had a great love for the outdoors, including fishing, tailgating, motorcycle riding and golfing. He was an avid fan of UNLV sports including basketball and football, and you could always find him with a beer and burger prior to any game. Gene loved working with his hands and could build or fix anything given to him. Gene loved his family and never missed an opportunity to host a barbeque to get the family all together. Gene always had a smile on his face even in his hardest days. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gene is survived by his best friend, Steve Anderson; his siblings, H.L., Loretta, Dorie, David, Melvin, and Billy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 10:00AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 7500 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89131.
