Bernard L. Haynes

Bernard (Ben) Haynes, 72, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died Tuesday morning, August 27, 2013 at Valley Hospital. He was born July 16, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the son of the late Harvey L. Haynes and Bertha Haynes.

Bernard was a longtime resident of Las Vegas. He was a retired Teamster – Local 631. He worked as a warehouse foreman for 36 years at the Nevada Test Site.

Bernard loved to spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Judith Haynes along with four children: Christine and Rabbit Downward of St. George, Utah, David Haynes of Salt Lake City, Utah, Mike and Kathy Mehling of Las Vegas, Nevada and Darren and Rebecca Mehling of Las Vegas, Nevada; 13 Grandchildren: Amanda, Salina, Wyatt, Joshua, Joseph, Gianni, Rossi, Perri, Michael, Kalianna, Darren, McKenzie and Jacob; 9 great-grandchildren; and may other loving relatives.

Bernard’s son, Michael Haynes and younger brother, Leonard Haynes, preceded him in death.

Memorial Services for Bernard Haynes will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Palm Mortuary, 7400 West Cheyenne Avenue.
