Bettie L Gammage - Walton

Bettie accepted Christ at an early age. She was member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Forest, Mississippi.

Bettie married LeRoy Gammage in 1951. To their union three boys were born. In 1959 they moved to Las Vegas where Bettie united with Second Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. V.C.L. Coleman and the late Rev. Willie Davis.

In her years as a member at Second Baptist Church she was a Missionary and a part of their Bowling team. She loved to cook, garden, was outgoing and had a beautiful smile. But, out of all of these life’s passions she “loved” her family the most. She was employed with MGM Grand Hotel and retired after 25 years of service.

On Sunday, October 27, 2019 Bettie was called home to be with the Lord.

She was proceeded in death by her father James Walton, mother Laura Walton, son Larry Gammage, brother’s Claude Walton, Otis Walton, James Walton and sister Erlene Johnson.

Left to Cherish her beautiful life and memory are her son’s Lee Arthur Gammage, Michael Gammage (Margarita). Nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, nine great- great grandchildren, sister’s, Bernice Brown of Gautier, MS., Waltereen Armstrong, Laura J. Kirksey, Ada Jones (JC) and Lilla Mae

Williams, all of Las Vegas, NV and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
