Beverly I. Cook, 70, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 15, 2011. She was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Bison, S.D., and resided in Nevada for 43 years. She was the retired ower/operator of Awards Won Trophy Shop. Beverly was a great wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. No matter what you needed Bev was there for you. She was preceded in death by her husband, D. Tom Cook. She is survived by her son, James A. (Simone) Cook of Las Vegas; daughters, Susan R. Cook of Las Vegas, and Vickie Cook; sisters, Mary Kirk of Omaha, Neb., and Barbara Anderson of Winnemucca; brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Peters and Corey Peters of Winnemucca; and four grandchildren. Memorial will be at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
