

Beverly Ann Harbauer of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully on 1/24/2017 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. She was born on January 3, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Floyd Harold Duquette (Duke) and Louella Mae Waterman Duquette Longenberger. She was united in marriage to John Wesley Harbauer on April 28, 1950 in Chandler, Arizona after meeting at the Catholic Youth Organization. Their children were born in various states due to John’s military service in the United States Air Force. Beverly held numerous jobs while raising a large family. She worked in a variety of food services, was a daycare provider, and was a Tupperware consultant, amongst other jobs. She volunteered her time at elementary schools, as a girl and cub scout leader and was a religious education teacher for many years. She also held the position of treasurer for the Carpenters Union Ladies Auxiliary for several years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, life teacher and counselor. She treasured the opportunity of witnessing the birth of several of her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, reading, arts & crafts, jewelry, shopping, crossword puzzles, and family meals. Her food of choice was ice cream and anything chocolate. She always enjoyed the Christmas holidays after the presents were unwrapped and there was a sea of wrapping paper on the floor. She displayed her great strength by surviving cancer.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Harbauer, four sons and one daughter-in-law, Harold Harbauer, Las Vegas, Joseph Harbauer, Brentwood, New Hampshire, Paul and Brandy Harbauer, Las Vegas, Peter Harbauer, Las Vegas; five daughters and five son-in-laws, Mary and Bruce Blair, Madera Ranchos, CA, Latricia and Jimmy Morgan, Las Vegas, Teri and Rick Yach, Las Vegas, Sandy and Joel Wells, Las Vegas, Beverly and Donald Hahn, Las Vegas. She was predeceased by son Christopher Alan Harbauer in 1960, John Wesley Harbauer Jr. in 1978 and son-in-law Joseph Allen Taylor in 2008. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, Michael Blair, Shawna Blair, Jared Blair, Ethan Blair, Jennifer Riley, Darryl Edwards, Christopher Harbauer, Dino Child, Dylan Yach, Seth Yach, Jeffrey Cooper, Katie Sears, Jessica Harbauer, John Harbauer, Hunter Harbauer, Zachary Hahn, Joshua Hahn, Shayna Hahn and seventeen great-grandchildren Emma Blair, Amelia Blair, Jordan Blair, Campbell Blair, Bethany Blair, Emery Blair, Austin Blair, Alexa Riley, Vanessa Riley, Robert Riley, Sara Riley, Gavyn Edwards, Allyson Edwards, Silver Yach, Benson Harbauer, Liam Hahn. She was predeceased by granddaughter Hayden Angela Harbauer in 2005 and great grandson Jack Charles Riley in 1999. Also, surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, Charles Duquette and Mary Jo, Grove, Oklahoma, three sisters and one brother-in-law, Joyce Cleveland, Kyle, Texas, Doris Coomes, Las Vegas, Trudy Lewis and Roger Turner, Holland, Ohio. She was predeceased by three brother-in-laws Joe Cleveland in 2012, Welton Short in 1972, and Ray Lewis in 2002. She also leaves behind one faithful Golden Retriever Lulu.
Beverly Ann Harbauer’s viewing will be on January 30th from 4:00 - 8:00pm with the rosary at 6:30pm, at Palm Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery, 6701 N Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89131. Her Requiem Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89128, on Tuesday, January 31st at 11:00 a.m. The burial will be at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123, at 1:00 p.m. with a reception following. Beverly “Grandma” Harbauer left an incredible legacy and was a blessing to us all. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
