

Carlos was born July 25, 1948, in Houston, Texas, but spent a majority of his life in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the Army when he was younger and following the Army, he did some security work for Casinos. Carlos is a talented lead vocalist who started singing gospel music as a youth and continued to make music apart of his life by creating a lot of original material. In addition to being a unique lead vocalist, he has performed at numerous clubs throughout the Southwest including Rockefeller in Houston, Texas and the world renown Sixth Street in Austin, Texas. Also, he has performed at most major casinos in Las Vegas such as Ceasars Palace, The MGM Grand, The Sahara, Hilton, three of the stations casinos, Rio, Fiesta, Riviera, Desert Inn, Ballys, Aladdin and also at several local Country clubs and weddings. Carlos has been the opening act for many major entertainers including Chicago, Blood, Sweat, and Tears, The Temptations, The Neville Brothers, Jeff Loeber and Kenny G.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia; his 3 children Quantie, Nicole and Trent; Two Grand-children, MacKayla and soon to be born, Lailah; Brothers and Sisters along with their spouses and children, Joyce, Jean, Pearl, Everett, and Charles; Step-Children, Jeffrey, Brent; His queen, Aunt Mae; Mother in Law, Wanda Russell; Along with numerous family and friends that adored his so much
Please join us in celebrating the life and memories of our beloved Carlos. The viewing will be on Thursday, March 23rd, 2017 from 3-7pm at Palm Downtown Mortuary. The service will be on Friday, March 24th, 2017 from 10-11am at Palms and directly following his burial from 12pm-1pm at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. There will be a reception at directly following all services at 2pm. Location will be disclosed Via RSVP.
